flustix MICROPLASTIC-FREE

flustix MICROPLASTIC-FREE is a consumer certification mark proving that microplastics are not included in the content of products such as cosmetics, detergents, and cleaning agents. Companies can submit their liquid products to an independent certification process, and through rigorous test analysis, receive verification that solid plastic particles are not used in the product’s formula. Through this, they can objectively prove that they are contributing to consumer health and environmental protection.

    About the standard

flustix MICROPLASTIC-FREE is designed to clearly prove the safety of product content as regulations on Intentionally Added Microplastics are strengthened.

This standard supports companies in proactively removing microplastics from products and transparently disclosing this, in alignment with the restriction measures of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and the trend of environmental regulations. Through this, companies can build trust as providing ‘products safe for the skin and the environment.’

    The label

The MICROPLASTIC-FREE certification mark targets the product’s content itself, not the product’s packaging. To obtain certification, it must be proven that microplastics are not detected (Microplastic-free) in the product through precise analysis by an accredited laboratory. Products bearing this label guarantee that they are ‘clean products free of microplastics’ that consumers can use with confidence.

These laboratories analyze the samples using advanced testing methods to identify the plastic content. The results of this analysis serve as the basis for determining seal eligibility, with final certification issued by accredited partners like Control Union.
